Meri’s uncle Ward passed away on April 9th. Ward was a rad old guy, totally oldschool, the guy had tons of great old stories. I met him the last time we were out on the west coast.

Ward lived in this rad house on Fox Island facing Tacoma. It is one of the few remaining Austin & Ericson log homes in the area. H e built this home after coming home from Vietnam or Korea ( i cant remember). he told us about all kinds of stuff they used to do on fox island….like shoot seals and turn in their noses for money, cause back in the day they were a nuisance. He said “welcome to the world” several times in conversation….referring to good things and bad things. RIP ward, you will be missed.

I’m in the process of moving across the country to start a new job. More to come on that front.
